Technology on the spiritual path
It has finally happened. Social media has become so choked up with AI-generated content that people have started to leave it in droves. While a few content creators continue to succeed on these platforms, the vast majority of users are now bots, posting directly, or generating content that is then posted by human beings. I am not referring to say, all of YouTube, but to parts of YouTube, not all of Instagram, but parts of it. When I say “leaving”, I mean that people are psychologically turned off by it. They are no longer as interested as they used to be. Mindless entertainment is making people sick of it and some are even calling it quits, deciding to use “dumb” phones and choosing real world hobbies instead.
I am pleased to see this change. Technology has always dug its own grave, becoming obsolete or going too far and causing harm, at which point people decide to step back and take a second look. This happened with nuclear technology when we saw how destructive the bombs were, this happened with finance when the stock market collapsed due to bad derivatives and this is happening now with AI where we are being constantly warned that it is going to destroy humanity.
The potential of technology is immense though, so what is a spiritual person to do? Shall we give up all technology, electronic devices and just go back to living in darkness, without fans or ovens?
How we create technology
Every innovation has its basis the same mechanism. Someone understands something new about the way life is made. They attempt to replicate or harness that understanding in physical form. Many failures occur, and finally, a form takes shape that has the characteristics we are looking for. A bit more refinement, and we end up with something—a theory, a product or something else that now embodies that new understanding. But how do we end up understanding more?
By looking within. Unconsciously, we are all meditating at some level. Until this becomes conscious, we are said to be asleep. When meditation becomes conscious, we are said to be awake. I am not talking about the kind of meditation that people pick up from reading books, following apps and so on, but the natural meditativeness of nature itself. There is something in nature, indeed all life, that is constantly observing, changing, adapting. We call this “evolution”, but evolution itself is a superficial effect of something deeper. That thing is a part of all of us.
Over time, energy among human beings has been rising. We are all becoming more and more “spiritual”, so to speak. There is a lot more emphasis nowadays, for example, on peace, harmony, balance and so on, even among the citizens of developed countries that, in the past, cared little about the human interior. Western society was entirely focused on the world outside, pillaging, murdering and robbing whoever they could in order to build a grand society. Go to Europe (e.g. Rome) and most of what you’ll see was built on the backs of conquests and violence. However grand these cities may look, they are built on blood, not happiness.
As energy among humans rises, we become more aware of ourselves. Things we hitherto ignored start to become conscious. This is why people hesitate to walk the spiritual path sometimes—it’s frightening to come face to face with what’s inside. However, as we become more aware, we start to understand ourselves better. And the more we understand ourselves, the more we understand life itself, because life is simply a bigger version of our bodies.
When we understand ourselves more, we seek to replicate it. This is how the internal combustion engine was created, this is how we have discovered quantum mechanics, the behavior of light—indeed all scientific discoveries are built on a better understanding of the human mechanism. It is because of this that ancient civilizations were able to figure out things about the stars, or come up with metal working techniques and so on. All of the innovations we’ve ever come up with have to do with understanding ourselves better.
Making it conscious
Unfortunately, most of the understanding itself remains unconscious (or subconscious, if you will), so even when we receive an insight into the nature of ourselves, we don’t fully understand exactly what we’ve understood! Partial understanding leads to disastrous consequences as we don’t comprehend the full extent of the mechanism by which something happens. As a result, all of our technologies are poor, defective, unreliable, require lots of maintenance and so on.
Take, for example, breath.
In the beginning, we all thought breath was simply something that we took in and let out. Prana, as it was called in India, was not just air but a life force, something we needed to survive. When we realized we could breathe and that it was breath that was powering our cells, we began to experiment with combustion and ended up with the internal combustion engine. This process was not at all conscious.
Fast forward to modern times, and one fine day, we realized that we were not just physical beings, but spiritual ones, connected at some level with each other, invisibly. And this understanding led to the creation of wireless technology.
Today, we finally understand (and accept) that we are, in fact, processing all of life as one big brain. AI is a direct result of this kind of understanding, with all information, audio, video, etc. fed into a system that learns as it goes.
But in every case, we’ve failed to fully examine how the mechanism works. For instance, the one thing we failed to critically examine was how waste product is handled by life. Life recycles all waste efficiently, by absorbing it, breaking it down, reconstituting it into new forms and making it available again. But we never cared about that part, choosing instead to go as fast as possible, when in fact, life works far more slowly, really taking the time to decompose things, not even leaving a trace.
We are not ready to develop technology
Whatever is going on all around the world in the name of technical development, is nothing but uncontrolled experimentation. People are impatient and interested in creating a product or service as soon as they understand something partially. Narratives are quickly put in place extolling the virtues of new tech, while ignoring all the problems or punting them for later. And almost no one wants to actually consider cradle-to-grave design, choosing instead to only partially handle the consequences of tech. And all this is just the physical side of things. The emotional, spiritual and even physiological impacts of technology are rarely, if ever studied before technology is released out into the world. Once again, it’s all about survival, racing to be first, and wanting to look good.
But as a world, we are in deep trouble right now. Social media wants to present a really distorted picture: one of plenty, peace, happiness, beauty, etc., but it’s so clear that all of it is just a show, nothing but a performance. Walk into the downtown of any big city and you’ll see that in fact, most of the world is “closed off’. Everywhere, there are guards or systems to prevent people from freely walking in, and even in restaurants and cafes, there are limits as to who will be welcomed and who will not be.
This kind of anxiety and paranoia is not because people are inherently stupid, but because there is a narrative world wide, that we are not safe from each other. Media has spent many years propagating fear among the population, so at this point, hardly anyone feels comfortable approaching another human being, talking to them, loving them and so on.
100% of this anxiety and paranoia is a result of bad technology. Nothing else has been a contributor.
Technology can be harmful, inherently
Many people wish to believe that technology is neutral, and that it’s a question of how we use it. But it’s finally becoming clear that in fact, technologies themselves can be harmful. There is nothing inherently good about the internal combustion engine. It has always been a horrible technology, and so are coal-fired steam engines for that matter. There is nothing good about nuclear technology—it is dangerous, poisonous and harmful. There is nothing good about cell phones. We didn’t need them until we got addicted to instant gratification and wanting to hear everything as soon as it happened, instead of focusing on our own spiritual journeys. There is nothing good about social media, which was always designed to disrupt normal, human, face-to-face interactions in favor of a virtual, fake, performative way of life.
And there is absolutely nothing good about AI, as it is being developed nowadays. Let me give you a very simple understanding of what is happening.
Our current system of designing AI uses large amounts of human-created information, including text, audio, video, images, etc. and then training a system to “understand” it. Then, AI is used to generate content, mishmashing a whole bunch of stuff into something “new”. Unfortunately, what people don’t understand, is that even human-generated non-AI content is full of poison—the energy of human beings that created it, handled it, posted it, etc. All of their negativity becomes a part of the energy of whatever you are watching or reading. I am not talking about politeness or “being positive” in words. I am talking about the inherent poison that all of us carry when we are not clean, energetically speaking. This poison touches everything we do.
AI, combines the poisonous influence of thousands, if not millions of human beings into whatever it creates. Do not think that our technologies operate only on the physical level. There is energy behind everything, and energy like water, carries influences wherever it goes.
“Generative AI combines the poisonous influence of thousands, if not millions of human beings. Avoid it like the plague.”
This is not some deductive reasoning. One of the gifts that the Divine Feminine has blessed me with is the ability to see energetic poison, wherever it exists. This is why I am able to cleanse you—because I can see inside you and know how much poison there is. When I looked at images from generative AI (and text and video as well), I was flabbergasted by just how poisonous everything is. If you want to stay healthy, and especially if you want to progress on the spiritual path, avoid AI like the plague. It is a horrible technology, and the people developing it seem to be highly unaware of, if not irresponsible about what it could do.
We can create better technologies
There is no need for us to give up all technical development and go back to the Stone Age. However, our technologies must first reflect our thorough understanding of who we are, and how we function. For example, understanding that comfort is a bad idea for humanity will lead us to give up all technical development designed to make us more comfortable: things like Air Conditioning, Mattresses, certain kinds of drugs and so on. Understanding that physical contact is harmful unless limited will cause us to rethink how we travel together and not stuff as many people as possible onto crowded planes and buses, not to mention elevators! Understanding that energy sticks to what we do will cause us to stop creating shared public spaces that are not exposed to the sun, wind and rain, which cleanse everything they contact. And these are just the basics.
We evolved alongside this planet, alongside life itself. That we would even think of creating technologies that isolate us from life, or subvert it in some way is really stupid. It is adolescent behavior, one of apathy, arrogance, ignorance and selfishness. And it’s got to stop.
We cannot change the people who are committed to destroying the world in order to make a profit or satisfy their childish ambitions. But the rest of you, who are suffering, must immediately give up all interaction, participation and support of technologies that don’t help anyone. Show these corporations that you don’t need what they are selling, and they will notice. Once there is a groundswell of non-participation in these poisonous endeavors, the world itself will adapt to a different way of moving forward.
